This is kind a weird card, running some benchmarks show results like 24 pipelines, but does not say any info about the GPU.They put a 7900GT and some programs I run from nvidia can't recognize the GPU like if was an ATI gpu.
The device id they wrote in the bios is a 7800GS, but they did not add any firmware info, and for these nvidia they can not find out which gpu is running.
Any ideas? any of you has this issue?
One good thing even the driver recognize as 7800GS the performance is not like an 7800GS.

It depends which version of the Gainward card you got but it should have either the 7800gt or 7900gt core and 20 or 24pipes. It seems you bought the most expensive one then based on the 24pipes and the 7900gt core so it should be a whole lot better than the 7800gs, it might not be recognised properly since Nvidia never intended for 7800gt or 7900gt cores to be available on the AGP standard. Gainward just slung them on a card regardless but so as not to upset Nvidia too much they officially have to refer to their cards as a 7800gs.
