Gainward BLISS 8600 GTS 256MB GS Edition

jesus - if those clocks are anything to go by - that is an amazing card!!!

128bit though..................why oh why?............. i ask you?

That is an awesome cooler.

Why don't you get coolers like that on higher end cards. :(

My GTS is so boring.

Anyway, nice OC, seems a bit pointless on such a crippled card, but good regardless.

The "ohh nooooo 128bit" seems to be the new in fashion word this year, nobody really mentioned that fact about the 6600's or 7600's this is to replace them and is not a high end card, the standard 8600GTS was even said to be on par with a 7900GS in reviews.

I can only say the one I used for a customer at above clocks ran FEAR+Expansion bloody Sweet at his LCD's highest res of 1280x1024, with all in game settings maxed and driver set to High Quality (up from default Quality) and Supersampling AA on. :)

i've not long replaced my old ati x1900gt with a evga 8600gts and the gts walks all over it in every game i've played and is around 2000 points ahead in 3d mark 05.

their not as bad as people think.

Correct, until you try you wont know for real, I ran a 7900GTX then and I was still impressed with a bog stock eVGA 8600GTS, I did OC to 700/2.4GiG, that one does 825/2.4GiG lol, then comes pencil volt mods and such, added to reapplying Artic Silver5 to core as stock goo is never applied well.
