Gainward warranties - anyone know how long?

Hi folks,

I built a PC in May 2012 from all Overclockers parts, using a Gainward GTX 680 2GB GPU, It seems to have given up the ghost.

PC won't boot with it in (initially lots of BSOD's), now it's not having it. Working fine from the onboard Graphics (just can't game)

Are they just a one year warranty, or are they two year?

If it's out of warranty - any suggestions for an inexpensive replacement / upgrade?

If it's still in warranty, what do I do?

Greatly appreciate any assistance...

Check date of purchase, if its under 2 years get in touch with OcUK via the CS sub forum and they'll get an RMA number issued to you for return of the faulty product.

OcUK have a premium returns partnership with Gainward, this means turn around for replacement is usually only 2-3 days, I suspect they'll likely offer you a GTX770 given the 680 is now EOL :)

:(

but let us all know how you get on (on here and on the graphics card warranties thread) - as it sounds like Gainward/OCUK have a very favourable 48 hour turnaround for RMA's (according to GPU Warranty Thread on here) - which is a very positive discriminator in favour of Gainward

so please post back how you get on :)

Apparently if out of the first year, I need to contact the manufacturer (Gainward), but their website says that they don't deal with end users. I emailed Gainward last week, but no reply as yet.

Anyone have any experience of dealing with Gainward direct during the second year of the warranty on their cards?

I'm getting sick of BSOD's :( I'd rather not have to buy a new graphics card if the current one can be repaired, because it was very expensive - but if that's not going to happen, I'd rather know sooner than later.

According to the warranties thread the entire warranty term is dealt with by the retailer, so I'd get quizzing ocuk cs....

Sorry to hear about your plight OP.

I would have though that OCUK would deal with the warranty on your card.

Express 48hr RMA service with OcUK in the 2yr warranty period. If your card goes faulty, we shall endeavour to have it swapped out or refunded within 48hrs.

Although I'm not sure if this only applies with GPUs purchased after the 'special terms' were negotiated.

Surely it shouldn't matter when a 'special' deal was struck. If they have a partnership with Gainward where ocuk deal with RMA for 2 years it should be any card still in warranty no? In the op's case it sounds like poor customer service from gainward and ocuk and its very un ocuk like in my experience. I would be contacting them again via the customer service forum regarding what it says on the gainward site and that you have received no reply from them. Hope you get it sorted mate as things like this shouldn't be happening in my opinion.
