Galactic Civilizations 2 anyone?

Excellent game, the addon is great as well...

Hell, I probably spent as much time designing and building ships as I did playing the full game!
 
I love the game, however, the expansion is rather good, so getting the gold version is well worth it. The second expansion sounds like it might be even better. In my opinion, it is right up there with Civ 4 as the best turn based strategy game around.
 
It's excellent. The ai is better that any game I've played. Good to support independent developers too.
 
I really enjoy the game and I am enjoying the playing the developing beta of the Twighlight of Arnor, having pre ordered it.

However, even with the above beta, I do find the tech tree a little overwhelming and I'm disappointed by the planetary invasions as I do find them a little crude compared to the rest of the game.


The support and help from the developers is very commendable :)
 
there's no copy protection on it so you can dl it of torrent or a friends copy then when it asks for cd key just click next, and it lets you play the full game, except you don't get updates, so you can trial it, i did then just bought it for the key. Tis worth doing just to be sure you like it.
 
Tis a great game.. although am i the only person to find the single player jokingly impossible? i was playing on hard (i assume) which ok i expected a challenge... but when the proper badguys appear a single one of their ships could wipe out everything i had!

I had that playing the career as well. Never tried it again. Level 4 I think it was. I tried looking online for a few tips, but no luck. Maybe I should try again, but I know I was playing on easy/medium!
 
Not bad but no multiplayer which was a shame as i like playing 4x games with a mate, like civ 4 and st botf. Also the i wasnt a fan of the 3d system view, i prefer 2d and a grid system.

They ran a poll on their website after it was released asking whether people wanted the devs to work on the game itself or on adding a multiplayer mode (they do continue to develop the game, but they have a finite amount of time). The people decided against multiplayer.
