Galactic Civilizations 2 anyone?

“Is it like/better than Master of Orion 2 ?“
Not by a long shot unless the add-on pack fixed a lot. The biggest problem for me was the research was laid out bad and the techs them self where bad. I found Sword of the Stars and Civ 4 Beyond the Sword both to be better space game then Galactic Civilizations.

The text in a lot of areas was very amateurish and didn’t fit in. Sometimes trying to be too funny in areas that shouldn’t be funny.

I think it is. For me, it is the combat that gives it the edge. I don't mind the tech tree. It did get better with the add-on.

Brad Wardell and his men at Stardock are doing things "their way" and have a way of delivering products, developing games, and liaising with their customer base that is quite unlike any other company I have come across.

Please take a little time at their website and try to underdtand where they are coming from.

The Gal Civ series is an absolute classic. I still play Moo2, I still mourn the abortion that was moo3. I thank god for Galciv I and II. The AI is quite something. Do not even think about playing on anything but the simplest levels to start with.
