I had a go on the Demo - noticed that you have 70k points on it already ... do you have extra flexible thumbs or something?

<slaps> how dare you not know.. tis a crime against 360
To be fair I thought the release date was still some time back in March ;) All the delays meant any excitement I had about it fizzled out some time in May.

...... and yes despite all that I will be buying it :o

lol was my fave game of all time, ive had it on speccy 64, master system, ps1, MAME (shh) even owned the arcade cabinet for a while but was too big and expensive to keep.

No where near 'good' tho, but that was only me first try :)

Why Why Why WHY buy this game? There are a million better clones or free downloads of it for the PC. Why play these old pieces of doo on your triple core system.

I can see the lure of something like the clone game or Street fighter but some old game that takes about 64k. Whats the point.

I can see the lure of Streetfighter but I honestly cannot see why people give up points for stuff like this thats free anyway.

Outrun, afterburner, chase HQ, mortal combat fair enough.

Frogger Galaga Pacman WTF.

It's what you remember as a kid man. I mean i never played frogger EVER and i HATE it on XBLA, its a big peice of poo! so i totally understand what you mean. But i grew up with galaga, my biggest dream for oh so many years was coin-free play. Sure its available in other forms, but its not the same! has anyone played that windows version of bubble-bobble? with the altered graphics? It's not right is it, same thing here.

Yeah I grew up with it too, what next though an xbox360 arcade perfect version of asteriods?

The pricing is ridiculous too. Taito legends is available for £10 with a stack of old games on. Yet one small game like galaga costs hundreds of points. Something like galaga should be no more than a 100 points.

They are never as good as you remember anyway are they?

I bought galaga (which wiped out my highscore from the second time I played it but kept my score from the first  )

For me the live games are great for those, "I've got 10 minutes to spare" times. No need to get up off your arse, just hit the guide button on the controller, boot to dash means it now doesn't matter if you've left a disc in, and your into the game in less than 30 seconds.

I also find they are good unwinders before bed :o

lol, Galaga has more playability than all those games you mentioned rolled into one.

I agree, I like the old games, I enjoy the simplicity and addictiveness of them.
I can also play games like that with my daughter in the room. You'll be amazed at how few 360 games are OK to play infront of a 3 year old.

Ontop of that my daughter can play games like this easily and enjoy them.

Did someone say that Pacman was out? I'd buy that even though there are free alternatives.

I would also buy the original space invaders, phoenix and a host of other early arcade games because I simply like them.

I think the other thing, XBLA gives you a chance to pit your scores against others, which is great, its like being back in an arcade and seeing initials up in lights, its a great feeling :)

Not feeling the nostalga for this game as it was before my time (much like frogger) so without the rose tinted specticals its just a pretty primative shooter to me

Geometry wars cost the same and is 100 times the game this is.

Never fear though once Sonic1 comes out i'll be waxing lyrical about that like its the greatest game ever as that is my era and will have full rose tinted glasses on :p

With all these old arcade games coming to the 360 (which is a good thing imho) I'd like a decent arcade stick for them.
Anyone know if this is on the cards?
