I have a Galaxy 7300GT 256Mb PCI-E graphics card.

When installed into the following computer:

Intel Pentium 4 630 HT @ 3.00Ghz
1Gb DDR2 Crucial Ballistix RAM @ 667 ( PC-5300 )
ASUS P5LD2 Deluxe Motherboard (Intel 945P Northbridge + ICH7R Southbridge)

It does not function, upon boot the system appears to sucessfully POST ( confimed by BIOS bleeps ), all fans activate including those on the graphics card and the HDD begins to chug as it loads windows. HOWEVER no output is shown on the screen on any output of the card, and the cards onboard buzzer does not sound to indicate a problem.

The BIOS on the mobo is fully up to date as i have flashed it, the ASUS EZ-PLUG is plugged in. The card is mounted securly and the PSU is well over the minimum volt and amp recommendations.

The Motherboard has been tested with an ASUS 7300GS and functions without fault.

The Graphics card has been tested in another ASUS mobo computer ( and AMD machine ) and it functions perfectly.

It has also been tested in another Intel Rig:

Intel Pentium D930 @ 3.00Ghz
1Gb DDR2 Kingston Value RAM @ 533Mhz
ASUS P5PL2 ( Intel 945P Northbridge + ICH7 Southbridge )

As before The BIOS on the mobo is fully up to date as i have flashed it, there is no ASUS EZ-Plug. The card is mounted securly and the PSU is well over the minimum volt and amp recommendations. Yet the card will not show output on the screen even when all other signs indicate the system is otherwise fully operational.

BIOS settings on all computers have been thorougly checked and changed to no avail.

It is worthy to note i have another Galaxy 7600GT which will not function in these two motherboards in exactly the same manner.

It is also worthy to note that the guy who sold us these cards reports that he has the same issue in another DFI LanParty Motherboard, so i am inclined to beleive that the motherboards in all systems are operating correctly.

Another Also ... lol... The systems have been tested with different monitors and cables , even tested with both DVI and VGA connectors. So its not the monitors ( also CRT and Flatscreen ).

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated as i am at a loss, i cant send back / RMA any parts as they all work seperatly however they fail to work together in two similar Intel Systems and apparently also fail in an AMD + DFI rig.

Cheers a bunch to anyone who can suggest something. Would be eternally in debt if you could fix it :)

Cheers

I couldnt be bothered to read all that text lol

Did you have another graphics card before the 7600GT?

If NOT, have you changed in the BIOS the promary graphics adaptor...

From On Board to PCI - Express?

Thats what I had to do when I got my 7600GT.

Steve

Yeah , have been sucessfully running a PCI-E GeForce 7300GS for a while now. Runs In All The Boards.

None of the motherboards in question have onboard graphics.

Cheers For That.

Anyone else ?!?! :(

Steve

anyway, yeah it looks like something to do with the ICH7 south bridge, or something like that

weve asked galaxy to shed some light on the situation if possible anyway
