Hi all, encountered a bit of a problem. Have been trying to suss out a way to transfer my numbers from my SIM to my Google account.

Under the import export options in the phone book there is no option export to my synced Google account. But on my brothers S2 he has the options. Is there any way I can do this as I'd prefer to have everything cloud based rather than rely on the SIM! Plus you can't do any of the mad customisation stuff with SIM contacts that you can with the others.

Any help appreciated.

Do it in gmail in a browser if possible if that's not what you are already doing.

If you do it on the PC in gmail, you can see all your synced contacts (there is a contacts tab/selection) and you can import/export from there.

Import to phone contacts, then export to sdcard, then import from sdcard to google :) Don't forget to hide the phone/sim contacts in display options/views.
