Galaxy S3 or One X+?

For the record, I am not intending on installing 3rd party roms, or rooting etc.
I had always had the option to Jail Break my iPhone, but never wanted to do so.

One thing to note with the samsung is that you can buy another battery and double the battery life. I get about 5.5 hours screen on time from a fresh battery so i could squeeze 11 hours use with the two batteries.

The SD card option is perfect as you can have more than one and swap them on the go if you wanted. (don't even need to power off to do it, just eject the card via storage) I've got a few movies, a fair portion of music and a lot of images on my SD card leaving the internal memory alone for apps only. (of which i've used 1.4GB for apps)

These two points were the main reasons why i didn't bother with the htc. (no sd card and a sealed in battery are deal breakers for me) I can't fault touchwiz since the jellybean update it's been flawless, no slowdowns and apps crashing.

The battery issue isn't a huge one for me, as I have an external HyperJuice Battery which should see me though upto 10 charge cycles.

Need to decide is not having the memory card slot is a breaker for me, but I certainly would only go for the S3 Black 64gb

Both are good phones, I've personally got the HOX and also had the S3 and decided to keep my HOX ad nothing presently comes close to the screen on the HOX apart from iphone 5 and Nexus 4. If you intend to watch a lot of videos then your better of going for the S3 as blacks are better but for most other things SLCD2 is very good text is sharp, colours are more natural, less over saturation, etc.

Sense is also better than Touchwiz but this is a personal preference and with Jellybean it has improved a lot and feels faster and smoother now on the HOX.

If the lack of removable battery and storage is not important then you should highly consider the HOX+. 64gb is a fair amount and should last you well.

Apart from price, what makes the Nexus 4 that much better?

Most of it's components.

Edit: And the fact it's a Nexus, it's worth paying extra for a Nexus over other devices for the support they get, nevermind paying loads less than the competition.

It's just a shame it's only 16gb without upgradable storage, otherwise it would have been a candidate for me.

Both the One X (international) and One X+ use Tegra3, good enough reason to stay away from those handsets IMO.

Not only is it slower than the Exynos 4412 in the S3 but it's also more power hungry and leads to crap battery life.

Build quality, camera and screen are definitely plus points of the One X but it's not as if there's much in it when you compare the camera to the Galaxy S3.

Didnt a review of the 'innards' that was posted in the nexus 4 thread point out that they had cheaped out on a lot of stuff?

Even if they had, the CPU and GPU are better, no matter how cheap they have gone with the stuff holding it together.
