Our 11 year old complained her Tab wouldn't turn on, turns out it turns on but the screen just goes grey. Tapped the screen a few times and it brought up the lock screen but ...

... things are a bit backwards.

It's not just the image, it's the touch sensor too. If i tap on an icon on the far right of the screen, an icon on the far left will be selected. The screen and touch panel are completely mirrored. (edit, after i recovered from my brain-fart, i realised the touch works fine, it's just displaying wrong.)

I tried a factory reset and it didn't fix it, even when i go into the firmware menu the screen is still mirrored.

Is this a known fault? (Trying to google for "screen mirroring" is not helping obviously)

Could it be as simple as she's dropped the tablet and the ribbon to the pcb has come lose?

edit, it's a Tab 3 Lite 7"

Is there anything in Settings -> Graphic Options?

Nothing pointing to mirroring the screen.

I gave it a few scientific taps and the lighting leds kicked in for a second, so it's looking more likely that it had a heavy knock and things have come lose. (which is a first, normally she breaks the charger ports).

Time to find my hot air gun.
