I have a question about Gallop surverys
this is my story, what do you think ?
I work for a big aircraft manufacturing plant in the north west of england.
On the manufactuing side ( shop floor ) we have 2 types of workers, Core ( permenant employed by the company ) and blue arrow ( contractors )
Last week the company announced to lay off 250 contractors, they have been offered 6k to go. I am Core and employed by the company so this doesnt apply to me, thank god.
last week all core employees received a letter from the company saying that we ( core workers ) will be taking part in a gallop survey, this info will be collected by gallop and presented to the company so they can see what the workforce think of the current state of play there. ok i thought
yesterday myself and a few core workers were called by our manager to sit down for 5mins and fill out the survery. Me being the observant one and most paranoid noticed that our survey was in a seeled envelope with a covering letter from callop with our names, clock numbers and department number and a BARCODE. hmmmm a barcode, each barcode was different from the next persons !
I questioned this and refused to do it at first, I noy going to start slagging off the company with a barcode on my survey, given they are just in the process of making contractors redundant, even tho im employed by the company i wound this very very fishy
I did full in the survery but was very very positive.
Question, anyone know why this barcode may of been there ?
could gallop if they wanted to let the company know of all the people who slated the survey in a negative way ?
