This. I've heard people say that the quality isn't as good, but I've also had people compliment the quality of my Afterburner vids, and besides it's so much less of a hog on system resources. And it's free of course

fraps is better than msi abhow many more need to set it up right
Fraps can be a right killer for some games, GTA for example, Afterburner never ever messes with the FPS.
certain settings though and you will still keep your fps
i record whole rounds in bf3 while playing with fraps on with same fps
a lot put wrong settings in say ohh this is **** lets try after burner

So you're saying you can record with no FPS drop whatsoever? I'd be very interested to hear these settings...
no sarcasm fraps is better but files are big . debate all you want fraps is better.
people do set fraps up wrong go read about correct settings if your performance suffers.
i play whole rounds on bf3 ask anyone i play with with fraps recording whole rounds upto a hr at a time my fps is capped at 60 and i keep 60 fps.

Okay I see. 60 FPS isn't enough for me
Might give it another go when my SSD turns up later this week, but tbh Afterburner does everything I need it to.
