Game crashes on new build

Hi i recently built a new pc and im having a small problem playing a game called anno 2070. when i launch the game my pc freezes and i have to hold in the power button. the thing is it doesnt do this in Dark souls or league of legends Note it doesnt blue screen it just freezes any thoughts? the specs are as follows

AMD piledriver 8350
Gigabyte 970A-D3
8GB kingston hyperx 1600 mhz ram
msi 7850
xigmatek 500w psu

I am currently testing it on my other pc i'll see if there is any difference
 
yeah the game runs fine on my i7 build with a 6970 and the same ram, i was able to play the game yesturday on the pc but now i cant and before i "attempted" to play it today i was able to play dark souls for about 45 mins any thoughts?
 
have you OC'd the GPU, i get this a lot with deus ex when using the factory default settings but a bit more volts seems to clear it up. apparently it has something to do with DX11 functions requireing more volts than standard.
 
right update i managed to get the game to launch after the pc had been off for about 5 mins, i launched the anno 2070 and played for a good 3-4 hours, after i finished i quit the game and out of curiousity launched it again....and of course the computer froze. I hard reset it left for 5 mins came back and turned the pc and of course the game launches, it has to be something either to do with power or heat, but the gpu is pretty cool runs at around 20 idle
