Game Pass

Right, but my goal is to get the points without actually playing anything, sitting in a lobby in AOE is the closest thing I can find to this so far, I don't want to spend time/effort earning the points if I can avoid it.
That's the thing you just load in, lose then spectate. I usually get the points before there's a winner.

Interestingly, you can load headbangers while still being in an AoE lobby. You can't do that with AoE 1+2 as it boots you out of one.

Hi all - Pretty new to the Game Pass Ultimate - and my 2 boys now use these.

Is there still a way to get the pass cheaper than the current prices?
VPN route and other countries prices?

Depends what you mean by current prices. Direct from MS*? Yes

(IIRC)
  • You can buy Game Pass Core and upgrade the time you have with Core to Ultimate for 2/3rds the time you had originally. So if you stack 3 years of Core, and then add a month of Ultimate you should get 2 years of Ultimate.
  • You can do this via the VPN route too. But it all depends on what prices you can find.
  • * You can 'do' microsoft rewards every day and get enough points (for the time being) to get months of Gamepass ultimate, or just trade the points for shopping vouchers and spend the money saved on game pass ultimate using the previous two bullet points. Far easier to do with Game Pass already though, and if you're just trading the points for Game Pass then you need an xbox to make the most of it.
I buy mine from CDKeys, others have used other key sites which are cheaper. I trust CDKeys more than I trust the other 'cheap' key sites so I stick with them.

I hate the xbox game store so much, its terrible.
i only use gamepass if i get it for free, or need to try 3 games on it.

i buyt it for the month try games, then buy them on steam.

ive bought games on this app in the past & had nothing but issues with corrupted saves & installs yet EPIC,Steam,Ubi,EA never had a issue.

its sad but Gamepass for me is a once a year thing to try before i buy

Thank you this is helpful and if I remember rightly similar to the process 2 years ago. My son’s game pass runs out shortly and he gets a lot of value from it.

Mostly agreed, the xbox app has had, 'issues', for me. That said I feel they've been improving it a fair amount, to me it's at least, or almost, on par now with epics.
The thing Xbox has going for it is Play Anywhere. It's annoying to me that they don't do what GoG (maybe EA Origin too) used to do, i.e. if you buy an xbox studio game on a different platform you also get it available on the xbox app.

Edit: I've just found another stupid, play anywhere titles can have different prices. E.g. I'm looking at Halo Wars 2 Complete, Windows Xbox app price £39.79 (game pass discount) for PC, if I google it and come across the Xbox website, Halo Wars 2 Complete for Xbox £12.43. They're both play anywhere so they'll both work on Xbox One/X&S and Windows.

This is what I've just done. I snagged 3 months of PC game pass for free redeeming 24,000 points.

I wouldn’t mind knowing this. Previously i loaded up 3 years with of xbox live gold and converted it for a £1. I think that method is long gone.

How is this done, via VPN?
You don't need to use a VPN

I just bought a xbox wireless controller that came with a 1 month game pass ultimate code, i cant use it as already got it, its for New Subscribers only, says redeem by 31/12/2023, but i think it still ok, anyone wants to try it can message me if they want.

Your need a MS account to redeem.

Is there anywhere I could sell 6 month / 12 month codes anyone is aware of?

I have codes that renew monthly for 6 months / 1 year.

But now I need to find a way to get rid of them.

Got one 6 month renewal code

and three 1 year renewal codes.

Members market if you have access but this does seem at odds with your previous post about getting cheap codes that aren't meant to be for plebs:

Unfortunately I don't have access to the members market,

and yes they are those same codes, I just wasn't sure exactly how they would work when I 1st used one. And they did last the advertised 6 months exactly (on a monthly renewal) until they stopped working so exactly as advertised, when I purchased them. I was told they could last longer, but that didn't happen, I also snagged a bunch of 1 month codes from cdkeys when they had cheaper prices the other day so have tons of those to use up as well.
