Hi
I've got a question regarding running games from a NAS with an SSD installed. The network topology is 1GBe, so saturated it would do around 110-115MB/s.
So, what is more important for games loading and streaming fast; bandwidth or access latency? Capped at the network speed, am I likely to see games load as quickly as if they where local to the machine on a SATAIII bus or do games stream greater than 110MB/s? Are there many games that would be capable of streaming data in at more than 300MB/s?
Cheers,
Chris
