iv been trying to work this nasty issue out for a while.
In fear and all games i play, when playing, and running the benchmark test. I get this stuttering problem, even though the fps is 60+ with v-sync and tripple buffering turned on.

It feels like the cpu isnt coping with the graphics or something. the game pauses randomly for less than half a second, every second or so!
I have tried the following to try and sort this out:
1. Changed gc from a 7600gt to an x1800xt
2. Disabling everything i could in bios which im not using. (ide channel, Sata 2
and Midiport ect..)
3. Formatted my hdd and reinstalled windows (after applying the above)
4. Messed about with the driver settings changing everything to low ect
5. applying fear "set priority" to high in task manager
6. Changing bios settings overclock in many different ways (also tried default)
7. Switch the power plug from the surge protector to the mains
8. Changed cpu cooler to arctic freezer pro 64
9. Disabling the mobo onboard sound
10. Changing from 2 ram sticks to 1 with both modules
11. Turning off as many windows processors and services as possible
12. Defragmented both hdd's
13. Scanned my pc with an antivirus, antitrojan, adaware and registry mechanic
All my motherboard/graphics drivers and bios is up to date.
I have downloaded all the gamepatches plus windows updates.
ATI Traytools is also installed.
My specs:
Antec SLK3000B
Enermax Noisetaker 535W EG565AX-VE(W) SFMA ATX2.0
Asus A8N-SLi SE
AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego
Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro
Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200C2PT TwinX
Connect3D ATI Radeon X1800 XT 256MB
1x Western Digital Caviar Special Edition 80GB 800JD(windows and applications
1x Maxtor 6Y080P0 (80 GB, 7200 RPM, Ultra-ATA/133) (Music ect)
I use onboard sound
next week instead of getting a new lcd, im getting a new motherboard (Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe Crossfire)
and maybe a new soundcard or harddrive, what could be causing this issue??
IRQ's and cupz's:
3dmark05 :
V-<<sync and tripplebuffering turned off<<< just for 32mark05
any help or ideas will be highly apreciated, thanx for reading m8
