Game Tester

I been a tester on and off for capcom its really not great. You have to work to strict deadlines, long hours the pay is not that great.

Really is a tedious process it can range from anything to constantly talking to ncps to pausing and unpausing the game at certain points. Turning the controllers on and off.

If you do actually get to play the game you have to rush through them usally on the hardest setting. You have no input on what goes into the game or things that get changed your just there to find bugs.

If you have any love or passion for games its better not to get into testing. Its usally the case non gamers make the better testers.

Its deffo not what its made out to be
I have a good friend who works in the industry as an artist and he got one of his other mates into it and well... he didn't last too long lol he got bored and hated it

It's like any other job and the pay as a tester is pretty bad.

And, yes, you do become horribly critical and cynical of what was once your most prized pastime. Don't do it unless you have no other option or you intend to use it to move up the ladder at that particular company.
