Game to play after my exams are done

My exams finish on the 21st, and i'm looking for a new game to get. I was thinkign of gta4, because it's such a long game, though i know its terribly coded or whatever.. so 2 questions really would gta4 run well on my system on decent graphics, and what other games would you recommend. ( mirrors edge looks to be decent)

My system:
1280x1024 monitor
p5q
512mb asus 4850
e2180 @2.6, soon to be around 3-3.2 hopefully, and voltage dependant...
4gb ddr2 ram

Depends on what you're into.
Mass Effect runs well on the PC, The Witcher Enhanced should run well too...just depends on what you enjoy, I'd avoid GTA4 on the bane of being sorely dissapointed, its definately no GTA3 (I know I know, no **** haha

GTA 4 is undoubtable a great game, sure it is different from the past games but that's the point - games move on. However don't get it, it'll make you cry at how rockstar have decided to take a big steaming dump all over the pc gamers

However I can definately reccomend fallout 3, and probable worth checking out the dow 2 beta on the 28th i think.

GTA IV is awesome, but not on a 2.8 ghz core 2 duo... I'd wait till I have a decent quadcore...
