First of all guy's/don's i hope this dosnt break any competitor rules and if it does feel free to delete and i also hope it's in the right section as it's a bit too general for the games section i thought. Anyway down to business.

Im in rather desperate need of money this month as i had to buy a suit for my grandads funeral which was on monday so my finances have all gone to pot. Anyway while thinking of how to get some money quick i realised i have about 40 odd xbox games hidden away which ill never touch again.
(sad thing is theres probably ove £600 worth of games there and im probably going to get no more than £60 back for them, but its money all the same rather than them gathering dust)

Bingo! i thought.

But thinking on im in need of the money pretty quick so im thinking about trading them in tomorrow at either Game, Grainger games, Gamestation or CEX (remove as apropiate regarding rules, but i dont think they can be regarded as competitors). The question i had is although i know you can definately get cash for trade ins, (albeit at a lower price) is it cash in hand/card on the same day or does it take a few days to process?

Much apreciated for any help you can give guys. :)

CEX tend to give the best prices on the high street, They have been known to tell people there isn't enough money in the till when they can't be bothered though,

Selling them privately will be your best bet but that takes a little bit of effort.

I have worked for game and blockbuster in the past and game required ID for cash trade ins and blockbuster require you to have a membership with them

thanks for the replys. Yeah private would undoubtly be the best but i need the cash for tomorrow really. Also do Game etc required you to bring anything in order to give you cash. I know its a slightly different process to just doing a straight exchang?

Couldn't you just borrow a suit? Depending on your size if got one spare though Newcastle is pretty far away.

Thought about it but to be honest i looked up to my grandad a lot and was pallbearer so wanted to dress for the occasion. Plus it will get some extra use as for interviews and the like not to mention the fact we had to travel down to plymouth for it. thanks for the offer though :)

Go onto CEX's website and search all of your games and you will see the 'We buy for:' bit. They usually give you the most money for your old games and give you cash in hand when they have it.

GAME give you hardly anything for trading in games.

Thanks for the advice...£117 not counting the 3 games it wouldnt recognise. Not to shabby at all. Plus my boss owns the local CEX store haha.
