Looking to build a pc with the 780.
Need everything including OS
Price limit is 1800. Hope a 780 build doesnt exceed this price as i'd like to make it future proof, at least for a while. If needs I would be able to stretch a little bit further to make this build happen

Personally, I think the 780 cannot be justified and cannot get it into this build anyway. I'm sure it can be done, but this is my take.

Is there anything in these builds that will be holding the 780 back? Or will it still be fine to over-clock if I'd like to down the line?

And I see you've both choose similar motherboards, what's the difference apart from £20 extra?

The Z87X-D3H does support SLI where as the board I spec'ed doesn't (not a problem if you never going to run 2 Nvidia cards) apart from that there isn't that much but the one Snips86x spec'ed is the slightly better board and more of a premium product.

Also, considering the price of this and there are cheaper alternatives like the 7970 Vapour-X Ghz Edition.

The titan is a great card, but only in SLI, the 680/690 is quicker if compared 1 on 1.

So, if you guys are suggesting that I don't go 780 as the performance increase doesn't justify the price.
Could someone spec me a 770 build? I'd be looking for a nice white case with good airflow as well if that's possible.

The 770 is a "Super Duper" 680 so not to be sniffed at. I've not gone silly on the peripherals. A mechanical KB would be nice but will cost what I've spent on the KB and Mouse together. If I was going to upgrade the H100 fans I'd use the Corsair SP120 Quiet editions.

The higher the budget the more options you have for jiggling the spec around. Hopefully you have an idea of what can be done to the budget now
