hello. my graphics card (asus geforce en8800 gts 512) came with the software gamer osd and another called smart doctor. i installed them earlier just because i had them and hadn't bother seeing what they were yet. i restarted my pc after install and my computer was sounding pretty busy so i checked the temps on speed fan. temp 1 had gone up and now i had the picture of a flame
. anyway i did a system restore to yesterdays restore point and the programmes are gone with no annoying noise of flames. the temp is now 46C. is this normal? i can't remember what it was before i installed.
also.. any idea why this happened?
thanks
ps. while i'm asking about temperatures.. what should my cpu temp when idle be?. its the Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W
using core temp my 4 temps are 45, 43, 40, 44
pps. if these temps are too high can i have some advice on cooling it
ok i thought a nice picture would be easiest
just before pressing print screen the cpu was on 50 and had turned to a flame. i had lots of opera windows open and was installing adobe reader so that could be the reason. but flame = bad surely? and you dont want flames when doing something very strenuous.. and i wasn't.. i dont know .. here you go

finally? heres a pic from CPUZ. if anyone can tell me if my temps are normal and if all my voltages etc are set correctly i would love them
