Hi all,

I know we have an official youtube thread in GD but I was hoping to start one in here just for gaming content.

Hopefully the dons will be ok with it.

I think it depends on what you mean by seriously.

I raided on a semi-serious basis for a year or so, and when you are doing an attempt and working with 10 or 25 other people to accomplish a goal then you an get quite in to it with that moment.

It isn't important, as in like say a job. But it is something important in that it's something you have been working toward with a group of people and you all want to beat the boss / whatever you are trying to do.

It isn't much different than anything in gaming - you play because you want to beat something or see a story. It just becomes more intense because other people are involved.

You think that's bad, I know someone in real life who I have known to punch his own head because he lost in a Gears of War much. :p

If you're on about the Leeroy video, iirc it was a promotional video for a guild within the game. They decided to put out a humorous advertisement rather than a serious one and in doing so created an internet legend.
