Games cancelled!

Jesus. There were handballs sure, but blatently none of them were deliberate, so how on Earth can you call Everton a "disgrace"?

With regards to Everton their tactics were spot on last night however the scenes after the game show how far we have come Everton celebrated as if they had won the world cup..
Sheesh, you don't think their celebrating might have been down to getting a much-needed win after a terrible run of form recently? Nah, of course, they celebrated because they beat your beloved Man City.

To be fair, I would probably be disproportionately jubilent if I knew I caused pain and self-doubt to the typical Citeh supporter...

Yup, nothing to do with the fact that there were only three games this weekend and yours involved someone challenging for the top spot. Nope, we all love to talk about City. Just try and stop me sometimes.

Gael Clichy's one last week wasn't deliberate but utd got a penalty?

I wouldn't call Everton a disgrace. At the end of the day Everton won the game because the ref didn't 'see' the penalties, our defence fell apart the first 20mins and Howard was fantastic. We dominated the game as soon as they scored 2 which shouldn't have happened. That can be seen with the amount of shots we had= one own goal, one hit the post and 3 could have been penalties.
No problem though. I didn't want us to go top anyway as i am pretty sure that when we last did we got relegated so a good omen we didn't i reckon :p

A penalty that even United fans thought was harsh, so that's largely an irrelevant point. Unless your turning this into a conspiracy of course?

I am not turning into a conspiracy. What i am saying is that if a penalty is given that wasn't deliberate then one of the ones yesterday should have been given, i think it was the Neville one from a Silva shot was deliberate and so a pen should have been given.

I think the correct term is that if a penalty was given that shouldn't have been then that doesn't mean that the rules should change and future penalties get given on that. It simply means that the initial award of a penalty was in error.

I'm not disputing that they were penalties. I'm saying they weren't deliberate (the clue is the bit where I said "none of them were deliberate"). Because blatent handballs might be imply there was fair cause for calling Everton cheats, a disgrace, and all the other insulting terms used on that ASDA value-brand **** paper of a website.

But they weren't. You took some shots, hit some Toffees in the arms, and the ref missed them. Not their fault, not yours, quite possibly his. But then, refs miss things. Until we get perfect, automatic, instantaneous video decisions, they always will. Thems the breaks.

I didn't want us to go top anyway
Hahahaha ok then.
