Games ignore Catalyst "color controls"?

Basically I am trying to tweak the gamma\brightness\contrast levels in games under vista64, but it appears that regardless of what I do within the catalyst control panel (for a 4870 btw) games ignore these settings.


Has anyone else encountered this problem?
