Had a Google, came up with Pacer, but that looks pretty rubbish.

Hot Wheels Unleashed looks fun and there is a track editor/builder which is a massive plus point.

Any others?

Love it. My friend and I still break it out now and then. It's balls hard now, look us ages to complete a race when we first went back to it :D

Unsure of any games like it on PC, but i'm also interested so will follow this.

I always liked the look of Grip: Combat Racing. A spiritual successor to Rollcage (which I only ever played the PS1 demo of back in the day, but thought that was amazing)
 
Starwars episide 1 pod racer is quite good, Hi-octane, Ballistics, Wipeout series, Redout enhanced edition

Never heard of it but this looks quite good, Pacer

Also, the Trackmania series is fantastic, my favourite being Canyon. Not exactly what your're after though I think.

I got Redout played it a few hours.

My (nearly) 4 year old loves it.

Its okay......for £2 I am not complaining but it isn't anywhere near as good as F Zero X was.
 
I think I'll just bite the bullet and get hot wheels unleashed, been watching YouTube looks fun + track editor is just a massive plus.

Redout isn't actually bad (best £1.99 I've ever spent on a game lol) I found it hard at first until I realised you have to control the pitch of your car with the other stick for the sharper turns.

You have to use the right upgrades for the event, some of the tracks are pretty decent.
 
Ignore my Pacer comment. It's not worth £2.79. It jsut felt slow and got bored after a couple of laps, the music wasnt great either.

Redout Enhanced edition I just tried again, great game. Well worth 68p, which you can get the Steam key for now :D

Damnit!!!! Feel I've been robbed at £1.99!!!!


But yea it's decent enough game to be fair.

I got Hot Wheels Unleashed, downloading now, was £20 on cdkeys.

I dont want to buy more games but am tempted.

I did used to live F-Zero but it never came close to the Wipeout series

edit, gave it (Wipeout 3) a try hooked up to big screen in PSP Go cradle and PS3 wireless controller. Still great fun.

No-one ever mastered the physics used in Wipeout IMO. Also had an outstanding soundtrack

The game disc is a Mixed Mode CD that allows Wipeout 3's soundtrack to be played in a standard compact disc player. To promote Wipeout 3 and its game music, Psygnosis sponsored a Global Underground tour for Sasha.

Looks much better in person, old but still working LG 52" plasma thats over 10 years old
