Hi,

I've got a OC built Goliath with an i7 2.66MHz oc to 3.4MHz, its an awesome machine. But for some reason when playing games there seems to be a system freeze for about 10 sec - this can happen up to about 10 times in one season.

Has anyone got any ideas what it is, and whether upgrading to Win7 would fix it?

This is something that only seemed to start happening a couple of weeks ago and I've had this pc since July.

Thanks for your advice in advance.

Cheers,

Carrot

Whats strange is that the PC seems generally more stable now that I've up graded to Win7. however it is still freezing up, and three time now its crashed the pc completely forcing a hard power cycle.

can anyone help?

thanks,

Basically, I have the Goliath OC system - i7 925 overclocked to 3.4GHz with 3 Gb RAM, GeForce 275, SATAII 500Gb HD and older 260 Gb SATAII.

unfortunately, I don't have a spare i7 to test against this CPU.

should I be concidering re-setting the clock speed?

Is it the graphics driver crashing?
(not familiar with "7" yet, but i assume there is an event log viewer type thing?)
