Games one minute your playing all the time, and the next you never play again.

Diablo 2, i played it for years and bnet/blizz banned my cd keys for no reason and isnt giving them back  no more blizzard games for me!

Guild Wars, i played during the beta events and it seemed huge! now i have finished it it seems really tiny and isnt grabing my attention anymore, finished prophecies, got half way through factions and 1/4 the way through nightfall :(

Delta force 2 never left my drive, until the online cheating got so bad, i never played again.

Not to many games like this for me, although the Championship/Football Manager series falls into this category. I found a few savegames the other day which I'd kept in case I wanted to come back to sometime; they'd been untouched for over 2 years so I figured I may as well delete them as I'll just get FM2007 if I want to play this type of game again.

The Civilisation series is similar too. Like the above, theoretically it should have infinite replay value since each game is different, but there comes a point where the boring parts of the game start to get more and more overbearing and you seek a new challenge.

Pirates! is a good example of a singleplayer game which did this to me. Starts off feeling like a really top game but after a week or so it begins to get boring.

Diablo 2 is a fair shout as well.

hl1: I love this game, i love the graphics and the feel of it but i keep giving up lol. I have never finished the game yet but i am determined to win it soon.

:loads half life after post:P:

Has to BF2, really got into it, went away for a few weeks and never got back into it again, just seemed dead repetitive.

Oblivion is a close second, played quite far, got bored of dungeon crawling, started playing through it with god mode on and lost interest, takes too long for the story to progress.

pretty much every game i buy now i never end up finishing it, or just get bored. i think because there is so many games out there now we are spoilt for choice. we get bored too quickly and move on to the next game costing no more that 40 quid. Buy>play>get bored>buy etc

but a good example for me is probably bf2 and oblivion. played them for months, then just oneday i couldnt be bothered anymore. havent played them for months.

X3 : Reunion

I started playing this when I was recovering from an operation, then shortly afterwards I temporaily unemployed so I had a lot of time on my hands.

When I finally went back to work I didn't have much time and never picked it up again, I keep trying but I was 1/2 way through building a massive complex and I can't remember what I was doing :o

Can somebody please explain what WoW is  All I hear is wow this, wow that, played wow, don't like wow, love wow, blah blah blah. WTF is it?!!
Thank god for sanity :D...

Ive got loads of games Ive bought that Ive not played - Half Life 1 and 2 are in that pile...

ps3ud0

Ultima Online was my biggest. 5 years of constant playing then completely stopped. Realised EA had completely destroyed the game and it wouldn't be the same again.

Oblivion is the most recent. Got boring and repetative very quickly.

Galaxies - Damn you SOE/Lucas Arts. Ruined a perfectly good game with huge potential.
BF2 - Loved it, played it for ages. Then the patches started messing with things, most servers became full of idiots and got bored. Never played either again.
Guild Wars - Again spent months on it, went away for a bit, came back and it just didn't grab me again. Not played the exp packs, but not likely to either, just bored with it.

DOne it in Raven Shield and startign to think im goign the same with CSS, then gain aint touched the PC since i got the 360 a week ago.

WoW - I realised its just one big PvE game & PvP means nothing to it.
RF Online - I hit 40 and was "wohoo" but then realised that I was two levels and a load of grinding from my next target.
Oblivion - I bought it. I played it for two hours. I got through the jail bit at the start and come out in to a field where a fox or something ate me. Tried again later and just appeared in some weird hell world at which point I said "meh" and not been on it since. It just seemed like I had to be one character with 3 actions which took forever to carry out.

That has to be the funniest post in this part of the forums since Ray missed the hover buggy in HL2 :D

CoD2: I used play this all the time online and was getting very good (usually top of server) then just stopped playing.
CSS: Same with cod2. Only play surf maps on it now. I was getting back into it but those new price things have put me off big style.
