Games randomly exiting??

I've just upgraded my PC with the following hardware...

Athlon X2 3800 CPU
Asus M2N32 Deluxe
2GB Geil DDR2 Ultra 6400 memory
Leadtek GeForce 7600 GT Extreme GPU
Enermax Noisetake PSU 370w

All seems fine but games randomly exit. For example Total War jusst simple exits a the loading screen. No crash, no blue screen it just shuts the game down!

Can anyone assist? I don't know where to start looking.

Do you run folding on your PC? If so that is a culprit to random closing (I assume you are using it, otherwise get downloading it.

)

Otherwise, virus and spyware can do this.

What's folding?
I haven't yet put my virus scanner on! I have run memtest and I got a few errors, could that be the source?

How many is a few, and yes it most likely is due to memory errors. If you have any overclocks drop them back to stock and see if the errors persist.

The PC is not overclocked. Only just built it this morning.

I got 2 errors on test 5 using MemTest. If these are the problem I'll need to find out which dim is the problem. Could it be a configuration error or just simple a defective DIM?

If you've changed the ram timings or clocks then this could be the cause, but as you said you haven't. Sounds like borked RAM, but check each individually to make sure and try some other ram if you have any :\
