Games that define consoles

For playstation 2 its has to be either the MGS or GTA games. Call me crazy but i think the game that defines the ps3 is resistance: fall of man

I think a thread/poll for each major console of the past 4 generations could be interesting, seeing an iconic game crowned on each.

7th Gen - 360/PS3/Wii
6th - Dreamcast/XBox/PS2/Gamecube
5th - PSx/Saturn(?)/N64
4th - SNES/Mega Drive

There are others but they were niche to say the least...

Sega Master System - Wonderboy
Sega Megadrive - Revenge of Shinobi
Snes - Super Mario World
Playstation - Ridge Racer
Xbox - PGR
Xbox 360 - Halo 3
PS3 - TBA

I also wanna mention Double Dragon in the arcades when I was a kid.
