Games that made you go WOW (graphically)

I think the first memory of me being like that would have been Shadow of the Beast on the Amiga...

Then maybe John Maddens Football on the Megadrive, the very first one.... I seriously hammered that game to death!!!!

Past that... I think seeing Quake 1 in 640x480... the first true 3D FPS... then getting a righteous 3D and playing glQuake

Then I would say Dark Age of Camelot... quite a few times, most memorable was when I first saw the mid dragon making my way to malmo :)

Quite a few since but those really stand out in my mind.

Tiberium Wars was the first really detailed game I played. Back when I had the PS2 and the most graphically intense PC games I owned previously were Theme Hospital and Red Alert 2. :p

hmmm. the game that made me wow
would probably kingdom hearts.. when sora's
in pooh's book.. traveling to other parts of the
stories.. haha it was so fantastic.. that cut-scene
made me say.. "wow". :D

For me it would really have to be the original farcry... I don't know how much time I spent just running around the map not on any real mission. Farcry 2 sucked incomparison. :(

I agree. As impressive as the graphics are in Crysis in simulating real life they are no match for the more interesting level design in Far Cry.
