Games that run well on 8800gtx

I've had my gaming laptop 5years now, it's running 8800m gtx in sli, and despite only having a dual core 2.6ghz processor as well it's still able to plough through new titles on medium settings at 1366 x 768.

I'd upgrade but can't justify the cost of a new gaming laptop, makes my eyes water!

5 year old laptop with dual 8800m mustve been a very expensive and powerful gaming laptop back in its day, one of the first proper gaming laptops.

I made a XPS with a single 5650M last me three years before I decided it was time to buy a new gaming laptop...

He will find loads of games to play with an 8800GTX, they were one heck of a card back in the day, many still use them.

I used a 8800 GTX for pretty much everything right up until I bought an AMD 6870. It played Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike:Source, all the Half-Life series, CoD series, Fallout series, Crysis, GTA4 etc. My upgrade to the 6870 was barely the big jump I was hoping for as the 8800 GTX was such a good graphics card for a long, long time. The 6870 in the end got replaced with a Geforce GTX 570, which was a much better jump. Then I decided I need MOAR and got CF 7950 which is where I am now.:D

I bet Crysis 3 will be playable at 720p in low / medium low with no AA

Q6600 & 8800GT held up for many years for me

and by this theory any game will be playable, just dont expect highest settings, resolution and aa/af

If you like racing I'm pretty sure the Dirt series will run just fine, oh those and GRID, GRID will definitely run fine.

Xps m1730, i bought it 3 months old. The lad i got it off had ca receipt for around £2500! I got a good deal by swapping him my old laptop and some cash :D

Just what to replace it with... Tough choice as it's still going strong, just put win 7 on it and it feels like new again.

I used to have 2 8800GTX's in sli, both under watercooling. They are very capable cards. But for todays standards... Not so much.

As someone else said, I think the fallout games would be a good shout!

Edit - Also Bioshock 1 & 2 I imagine would run fine... probably not Infinite though.
