Games that stand the test of time.

Transport Tycoon Deluxe. It was so good that TTDPatch and OpenTTD were created, and when Chris Sawyer himself released Locomotion everyone was disappointed. :D

Pong still works especially on two player

Oldest game I currently play is probably bf2 but occasionally I will play stunt car racer which has never been bettered which is ironic because it has EGA 8 colour graphics and plays the sound through the beep beep pc speaker, however the physics is 1st class :)

Just 1 question, why ?

TTD for windows works in xp/vista.

And mods like ttdpatch or openttd make the gameplay much better...

Much better to just get openttd and play it on any new pc, in fact I have problems with my cpu being to slow, as I have 1000+ trains and it's causing 1 full core to be used...

I just find it easier to use a 98SE machine in general for all older games, they run straight away, no faffing about with patches and what not. I have the office space so the extra tower is not a problem.

On the machine at the moment I have games like Transport Tycoon, Commander Keen, a few of the older Indiana Jones rpg's, Interstate 76, Indianapolis 500, Duke Nukem (not the 3d version)... you get the idea :)

I play a lot of emulated games on the pc and some are just timeless like:

mario games
sonic
Capcom old beat ups
streets of rage
Golden axe
Final fight
space invaders, pac man, ms pacman
Zelda
Mariio Kart

Dam the list is endless
