Games you enjoyed that are not well known!

Good Sierra-esque adventure game. Never completed it due to a bug though!

I couldn't complete it as I was supposed to rub some repellent on my body at one point (probably 70-80% of the way through) but hadn't made any on the way and had no flipping idea when or where I was meant to make it.

Oh, maybe that's what got me then and not some bug. Those old adventure games often led you to unwinnable circumstances, god that's one thing I don't miss in modern games! :p

There is one game I had on the PC, which I can't remember the name of, which was a very pretty 3rd person hack 'n' slash. You could play a barbarian, knight or ranger (I think) and the one thing I remember about it is the amazing lighting effects and shadows cast by the torches etc. as you wandered around.

I can't for the life of me remember what it was called but I don't think it was too common.

Edit: Severence: Blade of Darkness! Plenty on Youtube. Loved it!

Anyone heard of Tactical Ops Assault on Terror? I used to play this in my college days, it got passed around on a copied CD and it didn't need a CD key to play it online! All my friends played it at the time, we played it 24/7 online it was so addictive.

I think the game started out as a Mod for Unreal Tournament, and then got turned into a retail game.
