I have a MacBook that has windows 7 on it purely for playing games on. The MacBook has a 9400m graphics card.

What games would you recommend for a computer of that spec purely for the single player experience? (won't have no access to Internet).

It also has to be compatible with an xbox 360 control - so if mods can be sorted out happy days.

Cheers guys :)

Most games will work fine on that card ( bar gta iv, bc2, etc), albeit at lower settings.
What genres are you in to ?

Ignoring the pad requirement:

Strategy: CoH, Supcom, Civ 4 series ( BTS and Warlords come with lots of unique mods/scenario's), Total war ( I'd get rome or medieval 2)
Sim: Sc4, Anno 1404, Openttd, Pharaoh, Caesar 3, RCT.
Action/freeroam: Gta 2 to san andreas.
Rpg/Shooter: Fallout 3, Mass Effect ( though may have to run this at low res)
Shooters: Crysis ( ran on my 6800GS, at 800x600 and low fair enough but a 9400 should at least do 1280x720 or so, CoD4, Far Cry, Half Life 2 ( steam offline mode or if that fails something else...).

I think your over-estimating the 9400m... it will struggle to play most of those games at 800x600 with lowest settings and get much above 20fps. (COD4 with mostly lowest settings for instance will get around 40fps at 1024x768).

Football Manager!

Quickest end to someones social life! (runs fine on the 9400 mode in my mbp)

To be honest everyone whos pointed out the 9400 isnt that bad is right, its pretty good, can do hl2 on medium pretty well (my old nvidia 5200 couldnt do it on low so the 9400 is pretty good going)

Oh and civ4 is now out on mac side :D

Brilliant game if you can get it to run ok... but its one game that really should be experienced in its full graphical glory imo.

good question....i can't think of a single game that i would want to experience with that card and using a 360 pad.
sorry the above just sounds painful :p

As some have said your going to struggle to find games you can run with a pad as most games that support that 360 pad are newer games. Plus most games that use the 360 pad are action style games.

If i was playing on the spec of your machine i would be looking at older rts style games.

Age of empires, roller coaster tycoon, sim city, the older command and conquer games, theme hospital, ceaser 3.

Also theres plenty of point and click adventure games that should run ok. Broken sword, sam and max, monkey island, grim fandango.

FPS wise, the older unreal games, half life 1 and 2, quake, deus ex. The older call of duty games should run ok.

But any of these games wont work on a pad.
