That'd be epic, I remember V3 on the PS1, the hours spent chasing other players with a giant hammer attached to the front of my ice cream truck.

A Goldeneye remake is always going to fail to live up to the original. Back then FPS games were so Rare (heh) on consoles, times move on and it isn't all that great when you take those rose tinted goggles off. Last time I played Goldeneye (admittedly in an emu) it was clunky and slow paced, not to mention getting 3 mates round the TV isn't as easy when you're knocking on 30 with kids etc

Tomb Raider Anniversary was essentially a remake of the original Tomb Raider and that was generally well received. I agree that a lot of remakes are tripe though.

How can you not say Rick Dangerous & Cannon Fodder or even Powerstone are not classic games , they would make great remakes . . .

There was talk about a re-make of cannon fodder cant see why they would **** it up
Go and see what they did with Syndicate to find your answer, and also look at the up and coming X-com game (not the strategy game).
I'd love to see a Panzer Dragoon Saga HD remake, including the content that was cut from the final release. I remember buying it at Electronics Boutique way back in 1998 and it's one of my favourite games on the Saturn. There's currently a petition for HD remakes of the PD series over at http://panzerdragoonrevival.com/ Sign it if you can ^^
Speaking of Saturn games: NiGHTS HD remake is on the way, and coming to Steam too

even for the time the graphics were terrible. the current de:hr engine is great - it probably wouldn't take long at all. no need to re-record the audio really.
