Gamescom 2014

Am I the only one who finds these presentations / conferences cringe worthy? I found a lot of it boring and didn't really see anything that exciting. DAYZ /DAISY looks okay I guess.

I find it all very dull. I get excited to see new stuff then after about 5 minutes I start fading out...I don't think I've ever watched a whole presentation from start to finish. Possibly the XB1 and PS4 reveals but even then I was bored to tears.

From reading peoples thoughts and opinions on here most like the Kinect for the voice control and navigating the UI...which is fair enough imo.

Is the PT demo available on the PS3 store?

I don't know if you're being serious or not. You know there's stuff like this in all the MGS games?

By the way, what's your sig trying to say? It says "PC gaming is dead?" then show's 62,097 sales on the PC and 148,410 sales on consoles.

He is, he had similarly stupid posts before on MGS in here

This one is a true gem, talking down MGS because games have moved on with 'plot lines' and 'character development' when MGS set a bar 15 years ago that games today still struggle to touch

That seems to be in reference for furture games in the TR saga, they havnt bought the IP, seems the do own this game.

Heres some history though for those drying.

"In September 1997, Sony Computer Entertainment America signed a deal with Eidos to make console releases for the Tomb Raider franchise exclusive to the PlayStation, preventing the Sega Saturn or the Nintendo 64 from having any Tomb Raider game released for it until 2000, a deal that would prove very beneficial to Sony both in terms of revenue dollars and also in further cementing the PlayStation’s growing reputation as the go-to system for must-have exclusive titles."

It's all rather ambiguous really, and expectedly so. I'm not sure it's particularly safe to say they "own it" though, considering various other games "owned" by either side have eventually found their way to other platforms.

Either way, there's little point in being angry with MS about it, SE had the choice and they took it. Clearly they felt it was a better decision for them than launching on both so it must have been a pretty lucrative deal.

Haha always makes me chuckle but at the same time disappointed that they dont release all these games on PC as well to protect their console markets

Supposedly FH2 was running on PCs too - only read that from 1 gamescom attendee though so might be all made up - no evidence of the fact...
