Tomb Raider: The Definitive Edition is available on PS4

Oh dear. Get gun, point at foot, fire. So reminds me of the if you want offline play get a xbox 360. That quote is going to be used against them for years.

Its a shame, TR2013 was the first one I played, and I really enjoyed it. The next one being a xbone exclusive is not going to make me buy an xbone (it becoming really cheap might, but thats unlikely for the next few years). If thats the same for the majority of PS4 owners then they have drastically reduced the potential market, and damaged their reputation. Hope the payout from MS is good enough for them.

AFAIC nothing was lost with the next TR on XO only. Its a great grab by MS, unsure if it will make the XO even more appealing amongst the other things they are doing though

For people annoyed they should look into how SE deal with sales expectations, if they got from MS what theyve projected theyve done very well

ps3ud0

I don't know why a company doesn't just say - we wanted a set amount of guaranteed profit.

I'd be fine with that, rather than bumbling around trying to make up rubbish as to why it's best for the fans.
I didn't think too much of the last one but would have picked this up to try at some point as the last one was at least a solid game overall, if not amazing in any way.

They were quite forthcoming with their dissatisfaction with sales on the previous game - so it seems quite obvious that MS guaranteed them a certain amount of money this early on so they don't have to worry about sales.

360+PS3+PC and makes a user base probably 20-30 times greater than that of the Xbox One so there is no other logical reason for it.

People that really lose out are gamers when this sort of thing happens. It's almost as bad as all the pre-order nonsense in the industry.

I'll just rent it someday and play it on someone elses Xbox. lol.
There would never be enough out to warrant buying the console myself but I know a few who did buy one so I'm fine

I really enjoyed the last Tomb Raider so a bit gutted at the news. Not gutted enough to even contemplate getting an xbox one though.

That's the thing. I really enjoyed the definitive edition on PS4, but i'm not going to purchase an Xbox One, so all they are doing is losing potential sales.

seems a baffling decision given the user base of ps4
