Gaming Build Check

Ha ha no I just noticed that that particular brand was being recommended a lot in other builds so included it.

Would the one your recommending be sufficient to power the system even if overclocking the CPU/GPU as I may head down that route in time

Yes, its plenty of power and another good PSU (nothing wrong with the PC Power+Cooling one either)

Excellent cheers. I'm all for saving a bit of money !

Just noticed that I didn't mention in opening post about a cooler for CPU.

Any recommendations for a good one that will fit in that case okay ?

I would say this - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-095-TR&groupid=701&catid=2330&subcat=

But its 170mm tall and the shinobi only accepts up to 167mm tall coolers.

Q: What is the maximum clearance for CPU coolers on Shinobi and Shinobi Window?
Shinobi Window maximum CPU cooler height = 165mm
Shinobi maximum CPU cooler height = 167mm

Theres nothing else in stock apart from,

Thanks for your help stulid.

I have managed to source a cooler elsewhere so have ordered some of the other bits today and will get the rest when I get paid at month end.

Just spotted my monitor is not 1080P so this will be my first upgrade once funds allow.

Have purchased all the above and put it all together and about to put the graphics card in and Manual says that a psu of at least 600W is required.

Is it going to cause me any problems as the one I have got is only 550W.

Grateful for anyone's input.

The Corsair is fine to use.

They say 600W as cheap nasty PSU that cost £10 and claims to be 600W cant put out its rated power, so they over estimate it, a quality PSU (such as the Corsair ) can.

If for some reason theres no display with the GFX fitted, but there is with it removed and the monitor connected directly to the motherboard.

Update the BIOS.
