Bit of a weird question, im after a new desk for me room atm ive got some cheap crappy desk i bought like 10 years ago its tiny and therefore wanna get a new one. The new desk needs to be large enough to house a 24-26" monitor. I've looked at the usual places Pc WOrld and Argos but there all crap for desks well good ones anyway. Just hoping someone has a good idea of where to buy one.

I dont want a corner desk just a standard desk but i want it quite large and to have quite a good depth.

Price: up to £300

Sweet Ikea is definately the way to go, Cos if i had a 24inch on my desk now no lie it would hang of the edges :)

I have the Mikael one and it supports my PC, Router, Dell 24" Monitor, Logitech Z2300 Speakers, 19" LCD TV, then the keyboard and mouse ;)

Cost £30!

Draws would be good tho so probably the slighlty more expensive one would be better, the build quality good ?

Just to add to this as im looking for a similiar thing, could both of you who posted the Ikea links, post a picture of your desk setup?

Im trying to guage if 65cm is enough depth as most ive seen are 75cm and there too big!

Thanks

The Jonas is a pretty solid desk, so long as you put it together right there shouldn't be any problems :p

I can post a photo up when I get home.

I got an Ikea MIKAEL, I really dont like it, it looks good but its so badly made. Mine is bowing under the weight of my speakers and 2 22" monitors and all my other desk crap. Next time I buy a desk it will be a proper office desk from an office supplier.

Think the drawer one looks a lot more stable then the mikael shown by the other posters. And yea pics of setups with the desks would be handy, i did just measure 74cm in depth seems Massive which is good :P

My dream desk is the Lian Li F1 (when I can justify £500~ on a desk :P).

Would link to their site but it could be seen as a competitor.

Google New Morgan Collection. I have 2 desks and a joing desk for our office at home. Loads of space and corner desk if this is something you are looking for.

I've had the same desk since 1998  wooden, flat pack, from Argos, had a quick look and the nearest I can find is this, but mine is 1 drawer and cupboard where my pc goes :). I've heard these are good too. I originally bought the desk from argos because it was small as I was in the box room at my parents then.

I'm looking to get a Mikael from Ikea soon. Needs to be solid though - is there any give/movement in them?
