Logitech G11 Gaming Keyboard v Logitech G13 Advanced GameBoard.
I have not used either of these but i need a new keyboard since my old one has packed up (a full row of keys don't work).
So should i just get a standard keyboard and a Gameboard like above or a Belkin N52TE Gaming Tool. or just the G11 keyboard.I need a good mouse too.
Also, really i need a wireless setup 'cause i use the Sofa and 42" screen 5 feet away.

I have both and TBH the G11 is poo when you use a G15 side by side. The feel of the keys the way they respond all much much on the G15. On the flip side the G11 is cheapy cheapy and for a reason dont forgot. Not had much to do with g13 really depends on your budget i guess

As i said i needed a wireless setup as well, i am getting the mx8 mouse

and the MS 3000 wireless keyboard for normal pc use so i can just put
it away on the side when not in use.
I am still not sure about the gaming keyboard....my budget doesn't allow
me to go too high,so i've been looking at the Belkin N52TE ; Wolfking warrior;G11;G15;MS 4 and Reclusa.
The Wolfking would be the cheapest option but no macro options and backlight, the cable is long enough to use from the sofa.
G13 is not in my list anymore.

I'm talking to myself here, lol.
so far i have got the Mx 8 sidewinder wireless mouse and a wolfking gamepad,
also cancelled the MS 3000 Wireless keyboard.
I still am after a keyboard, going for wired now.
my choice :-MS Sidewinder x4:Logitech illuminated:Emprex Slim Keyboard in white or black: Cherry Black CyMotion Expert

I may decide all on my own with the help of previous threads,;)

hi, ive got the sindwinder x4 and its a lovely keyboard/gaming board, one of the best ive used in a long time, my friend has the g11 and i cant get on with it as the keys sit too high, the X4 keys are inbetween normal keys and laptop keys (if that makes since to you)
only 1 thing that gets me is the caps button, i find my self hitting caps when typing and not the A button (but that could be user error!!)

edit:
would also consider one of these for wireless setup for sofa use http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-007-KE&groupid=702&catid=23&subcat=1277

I'm pretty into my gaming. What keyboard would you recommend to be best value? Currently I'm using the keyboard I have used for many years. It's one that came with a PC probably around 10 years ago. heh. It's just a crappy old dell keyboard.

I've looked at the G11, it's cheap and nice looking. Seems well rated. G15 seems expensive. My main issue is, never having a gaming keyboard before, I don't see the benefits. An LCD display? for what? Backlit keys I can understand.

What's a good value gaming keyboard for a heavy gamer?

At the risk of being lynched by other members here, I use a MS Natural keyboard for gaming. It takes a while to get used to but the curvature helps your wrists, also they tend to have bug CTRL, ALT and Space Bar keys.

Anyone else using ergonomic keyboards for gaming?

I use a logitech wave, not quite full on ergonomic keyboard but very comfortable regardless.

It's performed well with all the gaming I do, mostly Battlefield BC2 and Dragon Age currently.

I have the G11, very good keyboard for the price, wouldn't really suggest spending more on rubber dome keyboards though.
