Looking for a keyboard mainly for FPS games around £30, could stretch a little. I really feel comfortable with laptop keys so something flat with soft keys if possible? I was looking at the Microsoft sidewinder x4, would this be a good choice or could i get something better?

+1 for the X4. Great budget gaming keyboard. If your after soft and quiet keys then the X4 probably isn't the best choice, typing is quite noisy but the key presses are fairly soft when compared to other keyboards.

I loved my eclipse, get the cyborg. Its a nice weighty keyboard and its solid and well made. I've since downsized to a rocat arvo for space reasons but even the arvo is good.

I may get lynched here but "gaming" keyboards are overrated. If you prefer laptop keys (like I do too) why not spend 20GBP more and get the Logitech 750 (solar-powered). Lovely keyboard and works great in games too (as confirmed by many other people in another thread).

A small hijack as you seem to have your keyboard sorted...
What would be the next step up with some extra cash??

OK, uploaded to Dropbox now, wasn't aware of that rule.

Have a read of the FAQ.

Looks good but i dont really like the idea of buying solar powered when i could just get wired and not have it die out half way through something
