Gaming Keyboard

I just grabbed one of these badboys the other day with my new PC.

I thought it seemed a lot too (even with a tenner off on offer last week), but now I have it, I dont think I will be going back to non-mechanical any time soon. I like the stealth look as well, so people don't think I have dropped 70 quid on a keyboard :)
I noticed there have also been the other coloured switches added to the same board now.

Do you get cable management or USB port on the keyboard?

You can wire USB cables under the keyboard if it has a USB port, there are channels for the cables. I've done loads of hunting and come to the conclusion I really like these:

Nope no cable management, and as Stinger said no USBs. All back to basics, just a good solid keyboard ;)

I read that using USB over PS2 can have its disadvantages, so maybe worth having a peruse to see what port you will be using (as I guess if you used PS2, you couldn't also use the USB on those, I could be wrong though).

I had a browse through those TT ones, they looked decent - the cheaper one is not full size which would be a dealbreaker for me - depends what you are after, and what you want to spend :D

+1 here for the Merc Stealth. It's worth every penny. You won't regret it. just make sure you have the desk space as it's pretty long. :D Also, I've used both mech and normal. I'm a gamer and I didn't notice any difference but the noise. Personal opinion obviously but I don't see the point in worrying about it being mech or not. If you buy a decent keyboard every key press will hit anyway, you don't have to rely on a spring!

Does it have a USB port?

I really need at least 1 for my Creative Sound Blaster Tactic RAGE3d Reciever.

I'd agree with the earlier comments on the Sidewinder X4 - I bought mine from OCUK last year and love it. In addition to the programmable macro keys and ghosting it's also a really nice keyboard for work/typing.
