It's a solid laptop, bulky but about as powerful as you can get.

The M1X is going to be very disruptive. I think over the next few years laptop will=MacBook. The days of 120watt mobile graphics are coming to an end.

Assuming there is anything to what you are saying - we are talking a good few years in the future yet - not very helpful to the OP in the interim.

Go and read what Apple are offering. It’s going to make expensive Windows laptop look silly until we get DDR5 APU’s

Not convinced Apple is after the laptop gaming space, they've never shown any interest in it.

The lack of cross compatibility will hamper any attempt in the short term to medium term for them to make inroads even if the M1X has some decent GPU power.

Not convinced personally they are going to take over the position of higher end gaming laptops any time soon. For the less demanding, more casual, consumer they may have a place.

As I said, I probably sit tight for the M1X.

Based on what? Some super secret mucho disrupto Apple has planned? It seems pretty tenuous to be advising that without backing it up in some way.

Apple didn't have much of a library of games when they we're using x86 CPUs. I can't see this changing anytime imminently.
