Am seriously considering moving to TFT as my main screen.
Can people suggest to me some decent models based upon these factors:

Size
Price
Image Quality - (Want pictures to look nice, not blocky like cheap TFTs)
MUST be able to do Ratio scaling or 1.1 pixel scaling or whatever its called so I can play my older games non stretched, just with black boxes on the edges.

17+ inches, ideally 19+, although if its a decent quality monitor that doesnt ghost at all (like 8ms or something) and is good for gaming and has 1.1 pixel scaling I cant be too picky :)
Am going from a 19" Samsung 959NF, so a large screen, with low ghosting and 1.1 is whats gonna swing me, because I dont wanna lose quality of experience so to speak.

1:1 pixel mapping is only really an issue with WS format monitors bare in mind. Considering the budget i'd suggest you'll need to look at the 19" market. There are plenty of good gamers TFt's out there with the Viewsonic VX922 arguably being one of the best. This article compares some of the best gaming screens out there :)

Yeah, I know what you mean, the reason 1.1 pixel mapping really matters is that Im really only after a widescreen. If I stick with a 5:4/4:3 picture, theres really no point in shifting off a CRT, however I was tempted by widescreen gaming as I have games that can use it, but dont wanna hinder my older games in doing so.

Thanks for the linky btw Badass, much appreciated and sorry guys, I hadnt actually realised I'd left the widescreen note out of the story! :)
