Gaming mice - Are they worth it ?

lol gaming mice. Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical > all.

There is literally no point in me "upgrading" from this, nothing wrong with it and gaming mice offer no advantage what so ever.

Only thing that matters is comfort and if you need extra buttons or not.

WMO 1.1 overclocked is god tier.

If they made a WMO 1.1 with 2 side buttons and dpi switch I would be in pure heaven.

I don't think its worth it when you can get gaming mice for like 20 or 30 quid.
you don't think it's worth getting gaming mice when you can get gaming mice for 20 or 30 quid?
or are you saying not much point in spending over £30 ?

My current gaming mouse cost me £20

As with the older intelli explorer mice, the wheel is pretty bad and the teflon wears quickly. Also the Wheel Mouse Optical has no side buttons :(.
Can't find any (new) for sale in the UK for under £45

Also worth getting a good mouse mat

Yeah, the sensor is perfect overclocked to 500hz.

Yes the wheel is pretty bad doesn't bother me though, I don't use it for gaming. The mouse feet are also not great, but I bought my own and replaced them (Hyperglides). Yep no side buttons I don't need them. :p

Also worth noting that if you strip the cable down to the bare wires with WMO it's so light it feels wireless.

A good mouse mat on the other hand is definately worth it. Love my Artisan Hein Soft.

OK cutting a long story short, i'm a lefty, so i need an ambidextrous one..
OP I too am a lefty and the gaming gods do indeed smite us with their poor peripheral design but I can at least attest to the Razer left DeathAdder. You should be aware at least that DeathAdders arn't the most well made item and it may break in a few years (I'm on my 3rd in 5 years I think, might be less time. Other manufacturers in general last longer) but i can assure you that they are perfectly formed for us and extremely comfortable.

It is hard wired so that the mouse buttons are reversed, this is extremely useful for a lot of poorly designed games/apps (although you may get confused when you run into things like the mass effect decisions being on the wrong side). I use a hard surface (func 1030) which pairs well but I think hard mats are out of vogue right now.

does anyone find that mice are too small ?

I have to use the finger / claw grip as i find i can cover the whole mouse with my hand and touch the pad easily I have a Roccat Kova+ set at low dpi 400 so i can snipe in dayz better (its has on the fly adjustment)

wish someone would make a bigger mouse
