Hey,

I am on an old Logitech G5 at the moment, and I do like it. But, the design is getting really old now and the tech is not much newer.

I was wondering if anyone has the G700 or RAT or anything newer.

In particular, if you have the above but have big hands like I do.

Cheers

I'm in the same boat as you. Used a razer (Death Adder) and didn't like it after the G5.

Only one elimination. But I'm still looking for a wired mouse that's 2000dpi and better.

The main issue I face with the G5, is my thumb scrapes the mouse mat, it's the only way I feel comfortable gripping it. But is annoying when playing games that require a high reaction speed as I grip harder and friction increases.

Just my $0.02. Subbed to the thread.

Im using the G700, really nice quality to it and fits my hand well. The buttons feel much better then my old copperhead.

Only downside is that its fairly expensive.

But how big are your hands Unbreakable?

I tried the Death Adder too, my hands are way too long for it, I was pressung the buttons with the middle of my finger and not the tip. I also found it felt really cheap.

My friend has a G9, I may have to borrow that for a go again, but that is really tiny. Tiny mice + massive hands = RSI.

I have fairly long fingers I guess and it suits me. You would really need to try one out to be sure though. Im not sure on the size vs a deathadder but its a lot chunkyer then my old copperhead.

I was thinking of going for the G700 over the RAT 7, but with being able to custom fit the RAT to the size of your hand I thought it a much better choice. And after receiving it I'm glad I did.

You also want to take into consideration whether you claw or palm your mouse, as the G700 is a palm type mouse, and the RAT is what ever you want it to be.

The Steelseries Xai is apparantly a very respectable option to consider. It trades fancy looks for functionality, and also 'apparently' is far better suited to larger hands than mice such as the Deathadder. I don't own one, but I've heard several people rave about them.

Sidewinder X8 comes highly reccomended. I've got pretty big chunky hands and it feels great. Wouldn't like to use it if my hands were small. Mouse itself is great and wireless performance amazing.

Big hands?
Im picking up the Razer Imperator on monday for that very reason.
Pricey? Yeah, but at least I can pick up instore (from a competitor near me) so no postage cost :D
I'll let you know what I think

Also, just seen the RAT9 on here. As I keep standing on the lead for my G5 due to gaming on the sofa, I have to ask: How is wireless for mice now? Back in the day it was pretty 'meh'. It must be better now, just like using a cable, anyone used wireless lately?

I finally gone wireless for gaming cos I felt the X8 was good enough (awesome really). I imagine the other top wireless solutions are just as good?

So, no input lag for games?

I seem to recall that nice basically went to sleep if you didnt move them, thus adding a wake up lag, which was bad when sniping and you dont move for a second or two... is that still the case?
