GAMING MOUSE - SUGGESTIONS?

The G5 only has 3 buttons for some reason, but other than that can't fault it. Great for getting about the desktop at 1920x1200 as well.

Razer Copperhead ;)
Yup.. It's a diamondback.. but much better :D

Only fault I have with it is one I have with my Diamondback, which is the buttons on the right hand side of the mouse if your right handed or vice versa. They're unusable unless you have seriously messed up joints in your hands.

Anyways, I only use click, right click, middle click and one of the two left side (Forwards and back for web and then just back=steady scope in cod2.)

I love Copperheads :D

If you had a budget like I had go for the Razer DiamondBack but seen as you dont go for the G5, but you may want to save a few squid and go for the Razer DiamondBack.

The special edition Carbon Fibre G7 cos it looks amazing... if £60 is too much (:p) the MX510 is an excellent budget mouse, I got mine with the S&S Steelpad for £18

Can reccomend the Logitech G5 here as well.

You get used to the idea of not having a forward button after a while, now it's the best mouse i've ever owned. It goes hand in hand with my Steelpad S&S mousemat too :) Great for gaming.

Wired > Wireless.

Not any difference between the 2 types in terms of gaming performance, rf doesnt lag. And when the wire keeps snagging theres a clear winner, I find it much easier to do loads of turns and stuff with wireless. Between the g7 and copperhead there isnt any performance difference in computing terms.

Another recommondation for the Copperhead here. Just about perfect apart from the fact that you can't really reach two of the side buttons as georges mentioned.

The Copperhead is the best mouse I have ever used but it has many compatibility issues. I sold mine in the end as having it plugged in would regularly cause my system to fail to POST. If it did POST it might not be recognised in Windows, and would have to be replugged. This was a real nuisance for me so I sold it in the end and now use a Razer Diamondback. It has more of a traditional feel of it, but has great repsonsiveness and the extra buttons are great for gaming.

If I had the choice of any mouse now I would be tempted by the G5 unless there were no compatibility issues with the Copperhead. Personally I am waiting for a future mouse before upgrading. Does anybody know of some promising designs coming our way anytime soon?

To be honest which ever one you get there will be little difference in it, but its just whether you go for 5 buttons and wireless. Personally i hate it when my mouse suddenly runs out of battery, and I like having 5 programable buttons, so i went for the MX518, but when i got it it had the steel mat that came with it.

now im going to say get the MX518 Gaming Mouse i think its great and a good price

plus i like the fact it has 2 thumb buttons and not just 1
