Gaming Mouse?

Lol... I got this Deathadder when they were first released, when it cost me £50+.

It's too small for my hand unfortunatley, I've coped with it over the years! :D

What!? How big is your hand? :p The Deathadder is one of the bigger mice out there isn't it?

Well I've had the Deathadder and the Lachesis, they're both great mice.

only buy a laser mouse if u play fps at high sensitivities.

I'd have to agree there; if you're a low sens gamer, go with optical. I have a Roccat Kone which is laser and it's very comfortable, but if I have to do a 180 spin fast in CSS my crosshair ends up wobbling due to the speed that I'm moving the mouse. My sens is around 90cm per 360 and the Kone can't handle it when I whip my arm across my mat at full speed.

Yeah, that's why I'm opting for the MX518. Just don't know if OCUK's is the 1800dpi with G5 feet version, or the old one? The site still says 1600dpi, but I'm guessing theres not gunna be much difference?

i play css competitively and the community agree the 1600dpi version of the mx518 is best, ocuk probably have the 1800 dpi version with the new and "improved" feet.

Sorry for the noob question but can someone explain the difference between a high and low sense gamer? :p Thanks.

That is quite a difficult question really, because everyone could have their own opinion on whether a certain sensitivity should be considered high or low. Personally, I think that if you can play a few rounds of an FPS without picking up your mouse more than 5 times, you're more than likely a high sens gamer, but if you find yourself picking the mouse up and moving it back towards the centre of your mat quite frequently then you're a probably low sens gamer. But I would like to hear how other people define low and high sens.

^ ^ My mate has a hugeeee mousemat because he drags his mouse a lot further than I do when gaming, I go for the higher sensitivity mice with less movement. I would say that is the difference :)

Could be defined as having a planted wrist. I got RSI (repetitive strain injury) in my shoulder so now I keep the wrist planted and obviously need high sensitivity.

Mice have got better, cause my marksman score in America's Army got better with each subsequent mouse.

I reckon the MX518 is the wrong choice for large hands, as I find it slightly smaller than the Deathadder.

The copperhead is a good choice, nice and big. Failing that get a Roccat Kone.

I've got the Steel Series laser mouse and it's great for big hands. It is really comfortable and I also find it great for games. I think OcUK only stock the optical version though. Might be worth looking into. I'm surprised that it's not more popular.
