Hello all!
I've been given permission to buy a new computer with a strict budget of up to £1000, under is obviously preferential. Unfortunately i'm cack handed and although I've built several systems one of the conditions of purchase is that it must be pre-built. I accept that this increases the cost and decreases my options.
The machine will be used mainly for playing games, browsing the internet and the odd word document. Ideally I would like it to last the next 4 years.
I don't need a monitor or peripherals, just the base unit and windows.
I've come up with three specs so far on the OCUK site but i'm quite out of the loop when it comes to tech news. Especially cpus. Out of these options is there a huge variance in performance? Any other options I should be looking at?
My main concern with option 1 / option 2 is the 450w PSU, this doesn't seem very big and I doubt it would be able to power a 970 and two hard drives.
Option 1
Option 2
Option 3
Any help is appreciated!
