Gaming PC advice

The OP just commented saying he plays shooters, 60+ FPS is pretty desirable in this case! I would stick with my recommendation of 1440p 120+hz. another option if you have enough money would be 21:9 100+hz

How is my spec not going to last a while ? I don't see your point to be honest. As more demanding games come out you are going to need a gpu upgrade before you will if you are running 1440p at the same settings.

Your logic makes sense but you can run 1440p on a 4k monitor, so you won't need to upgrade if you want 4k. but that point is invalid as the OP most likely wants high refresh rate, which isn't available on 4k panels yet
